I am truly honored and privileged to have been invited to a dinner at the residence of the Swedish Ambassador in Singapore, His Excellency Anders Sjöberg.
It was a unique opportunity to meet and exchange ideas with him and all the delegates from the Nordic Singapore Innovation Days (NSID) 2025 delegation from Sweden.
The well-prepared and inspiring evening continued with an excellent speech by Deputy Prime Minister Ebba Busch, together with national advisors, senior government officials, and Nordic ambassadors: including Mr. Veikko Kala, Ambassador of Estonia to Singapore Mr. Leif Trana, Ambassador of Norway to Singapore and the Deputy Head of Mission at the Icelandic Embassy in Japan.
I also had the pleasure of engaging in an inspiring discussion on hydrogen gas with Mr. Bjørn Simonsen, Science & Technology Counsellor at the Norwegian Embassy in Singapore, who has 15 years of experience from NEL Hydrogen in Norway. We will continue our dialogue around Hydrogen Lift and potential collaborations.
A warm thank you as well to Mrs. Anna Skoglund from Movexum in Gävle for her pleasant company and for the opportunity Movexum has given Hydrogen Lift to explore Singapore and identify possible business opportunities in Asia.
Many thanks also to Katarina Bennich (SISP) and Sasan Shaba (COO Ignite Sweden & Director of International Cooperation, Ignite Sweden & SISP) for a superbly organized event!
Finally, a special mention to the National University of Singapore (NUS) for hosting insightful sessions during the Innovation Days. NUS plays a key role in connecting Nordic innovators with Singapore’s dynamic research and technology ecosystem — an inspiring environment for collaboration and green innovation.
A warm thank you also to Dr. Sian Wee Tan Ph.D. for an inspiring and insightful presentation on Singapore’s innovation landscape.
