Leon Stille joins Hydrogen Lift’s Advisory Board

Leon Stille brings more than 15 years of international experience across the energy transition, with a strong background in business development, strategy, and growth in technology-driven environments. His perspective will be highly valuable as we continue our scaling journey.

Leon currently serves as Managing Director of the New Energy Institute and is Co-owner of Hovyu. His work spans a wide range of technologies and sectors, including hydrogen, CCUS, biomethane, geothermal, wind, and solar.

Throughout his career, Leon has held senior roles at organizations such as TNO, Alliander, and Plug Power, and has contributed to landmark initiatives including Europe’s first Hydrogen Valley (HEAVENN) and Canada’s large-scale CCUS project Boundary Dam 3.

In addition to his industry work, Leon is active in academia and advisory roles. He holds multiple degrees in Energy Sciences, is currently pursuing a PhD in Energy Policy, and regularly teaches at universities and business schools. He also serves as Scientific Advisor to Hydrogen Europe and the European Biogas Association, and is a member of the Sustainability Committee of the International Gas Union.
